What is 3-HO-PCE

3-HO-PCE stands for 3-Hydroxyeticyclidine. This chemical is part of the arylcyclohexylamine group. This synthetic dissociative is relatively new to the market for analysis chemicals. It is very similar to 3-HOPCP in structural mother Nature.

3-HO-PCE (3-Hydroxyeticyclidine) is a synthetic Dissociative involving the Arylcyclohexylamine course. It also contains a similar strength relationship to 3-HOPCP. This compound was not submitted to the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), for scheduling evaluation. It remains therefore uncontrolled under federal law in the United States.

Properties

3-HO-PCE, or 3-hydroxyeticyclidine, is a synthetic dissociative of the arylcyclohexylamine class. The 3-HO-PCE structure is made up of cyclohexane. This six-membered saturated rings is bonded to two additional groups at the R1. One of these is an ethyl-bonded nitrogen group. The second ring is an aromatic Phenyl ring that has been substituted at R3 by a hydroxy group.

3-HO-PCE can be considered an analog to PCE, and is structurally identical to 3-MeO–PCE.

3-HO-PCE Effects

Although no studies have been done, it is likely that 3-HO-PCE acts principally as an antagonist of the NMDA receptor.

The NMDA (N-Methyl-D-Aspartate) receptor, a specific subtype of glutamate receptor, modulates the transmission of electrical signals between neurons in the brain and spinal cord; for the signals to pass, the receptor must be open.

By binding to or blocking NMDA receptors, dissociatives interfere with their normal function. This disrupted neural network activity can lead to impairment of cognitive and affective processing, psychomotor function, and anesthesia.
