Description

What is LSZ

Lysergic acid 2,4-dimethylazetidide (also known as l, Lambda, and LSZ) is a synthetic psychedelic of the lysergamide chemical class which produces LSD-like psychedelic effects when administered.

Purdue University’s David E. Nichols led a team that developed a rigid analog to LSD in the 2000s. The diethylamide group was constrained to an azetidine ring to map the binding site to the 5-HT2A receptor.

LSZ is a newer product that has had little or no human use before 2012, when it was introduced to some research chemicals markets in the UK. LSZ gained popularity internationally through a small group of mail-order psychedelic shops. Unconfirmed reports have also suggested that LSZ was synthesized in illegal laboratories and distributed as a blotter paper, liquid solution or under the names “Diazedine”, “l” (or even “Lambda”).

LSZ is a synthetic psychedelic compound that is sometimes used in research for its effects on serotonin receptors in the brain. It is a derivative of LSD and produces similar effects such as altered perception, mood, and thought patterns.

As with all research chemicals, it is important to handle LSZ with care and caution. Researchers should be well-informed about the proper safety precautions, dosing guidelines, and potential risks associated with its use. It is also important to ensure that research is conducted in accordance with local regulations and ethical guidelines.

It is not recommended to use LSZ for any purposes other than research, as its effects on the brain and body are not fully understood and could be potentially dangerous. If you have any questions or concerns about the use of LSZ in research, it is best to consult with a qualified professional or a reputable research institution.

Properties

LSZ, or d-lysergic acid 2,4-dimethylazetidide core polycyclic structure is an indole derivative, and has tryptamine and phenethylamine groups embedded within it. It is a semisynthethic alkaloid from the Lysergamide group and has a core structure made up of lysergic acids with an amine functional band bound to the RN.

This structure contains a bicyclic hexagonal indole bonded to a bicyclic quinone group (lysergic acids). An amide group is attached at carbon 8 of the Quintoline. Additionally, the substitutions of the terminal nitrogen atom of the amide group form a 2,4-dimethylazetidide group. LSZ can also be substituted at carbon 6 by a methyl group.

LSZ Effects

LSZ’s effects on 5-HT2A receptors are thought to produce psychedelic effects. However, it isn’t clear how these interactions lead to the psychedelic experience.
